Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa Iwi Leadership Group
We are led, supported and guided by mana whenua of Ngāti Tamaoho and Ngāi Tai Ki Tamaki.
Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa has several leadership levels inputting into the overall locality learnings. These leadership levels include:
Iwi Māori Partnership Board – Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa has an affiliation to the Iwi Māori Partnership Board (IMPB) named Ngā Pou Hauora ō Tāmaki Makaurau. IMPBs are the primary source of whānau voice in the system and influence regional strategies through Te Aka Whai Ora.
Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa Iwi Leadership Group – Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa is supported and guided by representatives from Ngāti Tamaoho and Ngāi Tai Ki Tamaki. In the visual structure in the appendix, reference is made to our two Mana Whenua partners, the Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa Iwi Leadership Group.
Strategic & Operational Governance – Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of 8 directors, each filled by individuals who bring a wealth of expertise and skill to guide their partners in achieving the collective mission. The Board of Directors is co-chaired by Dame Dr Teuila Percival, and Matekino Marshall.
Clinical Governance Group – A clinical governance group has been established within Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa to provide oversight, and monitoring of the clinical and healthcare services. The Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa Clinical Governance Group has clinical representatives that include nurses, mental health clinician(s) and General Practitioners. The Clinical Governance Group is chaired by Tagaloa Dr. Andrew Chan Mow.
Chartered Partners – Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa currently has over 25 charter affiliated partners. There are monthly meetings for partners.

Ngāti Tamaoho Trust
The Ngāti Tamaoho Trust is the mandated management group of the people of Tamaoho. The Board has the responsibility to govern, develop and protect the interests of its people and to be kaitiaki in their tribal boundaries (kaitiakitanga is guardianship).

Ngāi Tai Ki Tāmaki Pou Tāngata Community Development Trust
Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki (Ngāi Tai) are the original inhabitants and Iwi of Tāmaki Makaurau. We look to increase the wellbeing of the nation through leveraging our partnerships, talents, and endowments.

Vaka Tautua was established in 2004 and is a ‘by Pacific, for Pacific’ mental health, disability, and social services provider in Aotearoa. They promote the health and wellbeing of Pacific peoples.

Pasefika Family Health Group (PFHG) is a Pacific Health provider based in the greater Auckland region. PFHG serves the Pacific, Māori and Asian communities.

Pacific Homecare was established in 1988, to provide home-based healthcare in the Auckland region to the disabled and the elderly community who wish to stay living at home, but who need assistance.

National Hauora Coalition
National Hauora Coalition is grounded in the gathering of visionary hauora Māori leaders who formed a national network representing whānau, hapū, iwi and mātāwaka groups. In 2021, the group became the National Māori PHO Coalition. continuing its work in primary healthcare.
